I understand why she doesn’t want to fight this, but I think she should. This is bigger than her. It affects trans employees who work in the Capitol as well as visitors. And she is in the best position to fight it.

I believe we should be having Trans Wrath marches, now more than ever.

Yes, the pearl clutchers will object to the name but they can go fuck themselves, they were going to object even if it was the Trans Celebration of Puppies and Kittens.

The anti-trans obsessives cannot fathom that a trans woman be viewed as their equal, let alone that we’d elected to public office or work the same job as them.

And no amount of capitulation will sate their rage. That is why it’s imperative that we resist their efforts at each and every turn.

I’d love that… and have all those trans punk bands playing as they march…

As some Democrats question their alliance with transgender rights, and Republicans, particularly Trump, successfully campaigned on anti-trans sentiments, Kate Sosin, LGBTQ+ reporter at the 19th, focusing on transgender rights, incarceration, politics and public policy, shares how people who identify as trans are bracing themselves for a second Trump presidency.

I don’t have a link, but Dave Rubin thinks Sarah McBride’s previous identity was a man named Andrew Cray. This is both cruel and interesting. Cruel because Andrew Cray was McBride’s husband. He died from cancer in 2014 4 days after they were married. It’s interesting because Rubin didn’t have any difficulty using he/him pronouns for Cray, and Cray was a trans man and notable activist. A simple reading of the Wikipedia entries for both McBride and Cray would have told him all this.

What a fucking asshole. But that could be just generally applied to any and all MAGAts, so I guess it doesn’t really mean as much as it could. “When everybody’s an asshole…” Wait, no, that doesn’t work. When a group requires you to be an asshole in order to gain admittance, it’s a pretty solid bet that they are all assholes.

On The Daily Show, Desi Lydic ripped into Mace’s attacks against Sarah McBride and pointed out the attention-seeking/hypocrisy, too:

because until fairly recently many countries in Europe required people seeking to transition, either legally or medically, to undergo sterilization first.

I heard her response back-to-back with AOC’s statement, and found the combination of both to be very powerful. She’s my congressperson, and it was my pleasure to vote for her.
