That shit is truly disturbing. When the community you are “supporting” says “knock that shit off, it’s inappropriate.” you should fucking listen. I find my patience wearing very thin.

I ended up blocking a LOT of resist types because of this. If you see identity as conditional on us playing nice with you, you’re no friend of mine.

Greater bone density?

I have osteopenia.

If I remember correctly, studies have shown that trans women have lower bone density

When you’re a manly judge, you can’t rely on textbooks or legal precedent. You have to rely on your guts, your instincts. It’s the only way to find truthishness.

As an aside, are you taking anything for it?

Yes.

If you aren’t already, think about vitamin K2 (MK7 formulation), and magnesium. If you are also taking vitamin D, take the D and K2 at different times of the day, and with some kind of fat or oil, like peanut butter, or butter; they are both fat soluble, and will “fight” with each other for absorption, so you’ll absorb them better if taken with a fat, and separately. They actually promote new bone cell production.

I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis about 15 years ago, and I’m on medication, but I’m also taking those supplements, and I’ve gotten down to osteopenia levels over the last couple of years.

In the email, first reported by The Guardian, Rubio directed his staff to “suspend any application requesting an X sex marker” and to “suspend any application where the applicant is seeking to change their sex marker.”

Marco Rubio can eat shit.

They started processing my application Tuesday night.

I’d heard there was a mandatory 60 day comment period (but I don’t really know if this is true or if this is their way around it). Also, I paid extra to have it expedited.

The application form has not been changed yet.

I hope you and many others in the middle of the process can slip through- maybe they’re already approved and just going to the printer etc.

Fingers crossed.

“The goal of the local law is to provide a safe environment for individuals who are born female to play.”

My that’s a lot of words to say “bigotry.”

Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, in a statement, applauded the decision and called it “common sense.” […] “They have a competitive advantage,” Blakeman said, referring to transgender athletes. “It’s unfair, and it’s also unsafe.”

Well I tell you what, Brucie Boy, how about you test this theory out? You’re a big bad cis dude, why don’t you put on the gear, get in the rink, and show us what you mean? I’m sure any of the teams would be happy to help you demonstrate this and to give you that “competitive advantage” you’re prattling on about we can even ask the team only deploy cis women against you. I’ll bet we could even sell tickets.

So what really pisses me off about this is that the roller derby teams don’t want this and have said so. Trans women have been playing in roller derby teams for decades without issue, but now this walking shit stain and his crew have stepped up to “protect” the delicate women playing roller derby. Misogyny and transphobia really are very tightly intertwined, aren’t they? (Hypothetical question, of course.)
