New â The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was told this week by DOJ that theyâd lose their funding if the org didnât remove any mentions of LGBTQIA+ issues from their public materials, Iâve learned. Staff were told they need to deadname trans kids in their reports to comply.

Every fucking day gets worse. And i am pretty sure we still canât even see the bottom. We are in 1930âs Germany, only with fucking nukes. But I have kids snd a granddaughter to fight for, and this fat old man ainât going nowhere. What you can, where you are, with what you have. Always.

As part of a medical exam yesterday at Planned Parenthood for my gender care, I was asked the standard list of questions which included the ones about mental health. I acknowledged that I have been feeling a lot of anxiety and depression lately, but Iâm well aware of the difference between those caused by external factors and ones that are just internal to my own brain. The nurse considered that a moment and then nodded, saying she could understand that perfectly.
Of course since I acknowledged anxiety and depression, there are a series of questions to go along with that. One of them being âhas this affected your work or other daily activities?â I stated âI work in a public library. If anything that anxiety and its cause has only energized me for my work.â And again, as a Planned Parenthood nurse, she definitely understood that feeling!

I always just lie regarding the mental health questions Planned Parenthood asks.
ETA: If i felt any mental health issues had to do with my transition, Iâd tell the truth, but everything causing me issues has to do with external stuff.

Absolutely fair and I understand that position. Iâm just having enough trouble answering the intent of the question and not the actual question asked! I also have to be careful not to info dump.
