I’m a full time, live in caregiver. Minus the taking the kids to school, that list is my life. It’s all I do.
ETA: also, not one damn thing on that list has anything to do, inherently or biologically, with being a woman. There are men who do those things, too. Not as many, because patriarchy, but some do.

I do all of those things and I’m not a woman or trans. June is frozen in a fictional version of 1950. We should avoid correcting her - it could cause a paradox and destroy the timeline! (Then again…)

It was like a list from a narcissist parent who isn’t getting what they want, the only thing missing was “I gave birth to you”. That’s why I thought of trans people going no-contact with their TER parents.

I do all of those but the two involving kids (and visiting the care home, because we ARE the care home) and I’m not a cis OR trans woman. And scrolling down, I see I’m not the only one. This woman is living in a bubble so small I’m not sure anyone but herself is even in there.

I don’t want to derail the RIP thread about the pope, but as progressive as he was on some issues, he was still a bigot.

He absolutely was, yeah. He had some positions we’d likely call progressive (on the economy and ecology, and on the dignity of migrants, he was deeply anti-war, etc), but his positions on the LGBQT+ community, and frankly on women more generally was not much better than the right wing of the church. He also could have done a lot more on the abuse scandals, in terms of helping hold people to account.
