Iâve protested against her getting an award for services to the LGBT community.
Yes, with the T, and a lot of people were not happy about that betrayal. We outnumbered her TER supporters 5 to 1.

Brianna Wu is, herself, trans. Sheâs gatekeeping here. There used to be, and I suppose still is, a number of trans women who believed that the only true trans women fit the societal ideal of femininity and exhibited those characteristics at a young age and transitioned typically in their late teens, early 20s. And were attracted to men. People like me who are more androgynous in appearance and mannerisms and who are not straight are, to trans women like her, not real trans women. Trans women like her made it really hard for me to figure out, and accept, who I was for a long time, because I didnât, and still donât, fit that ideal.

Incidentally, when the most blocked Bluesky accounts were posted here I took a quick glance to see if it was the Brianna I thought. She was condemning the inclusive pride flag, the one with the triangle for trans people, as obviously modeled off the Palestinian flag and so insidious pro-Palestine propaganda. As you know, proper LGBT supporters would never stand up against killing Palestinians, since Muslims donât allow gay people.
Which is to say she is a full out reactionary bigot who wants others to die, and all being trans herself has done is made her carve out as small an exception as possible. Sheâd for sure have the gate shut entirely if she didnât need through.

Yeah, sheâs a piece of work, for sure. I almost have more respect for the bigots who fully own being a bigot. At least theyâre honest. Awful, but honest. I have no respect for gatekeepers and ladder pullers.
