Maybe they should have set up Brexit Booths on the streets, so that people who so want to avoid immigrants so much can Brexit themselves, without Brexit-Brexiting their whole country like the Tory version of the People’s Temple.

That’s been the case since 2015, though. However your main point stands. Scotland and Englandandwales are increasingly diverging politically, socially and economically. The conditions that led to the temporary union of 1707 are no longer in place, and make less sense with each passing day.
