The video does say that she’s suggesting cloud seeding, which is a legitimate thing, I’ll grant that, although with very limited results. It does not create rain out of nothing and the clouds have to be already heavy enough to potentially produce rain anyway. It’s still mostly an attempt at influencing the weather and hoping for the best and is completely useless in this case. Perhaps less than useless, since if it was being attempted, that would just be diverting resources that could be better used elsewhere.
As for consistency … yeah, I can see that. Of course she’s also always consistently stupid.
Yeah, it’s bad enough when someone repeatedly refers to women as “females,” but when they’re simultaneously using “men” in the same paragraph it’s all the more galling. As to the content of the statement, that sure is an interesting take on assumed jobs divided by gender, indeed on the various types of jobs in the world. “[Men are] on the road?” Do tell. Perhaps the vast majority of men who’s jobs to not entail being “on the road” aren’t really working? Or are they not really men, it’s so hard to keep track of what makes someone a man these days.
Although I will grant that it may be easier for some men to listen to Joe Rogan or Lex Fridman, but mostly because they both make the rest of us nauseous.
And as to the context, I’m pretty sure it’s from an NY Times piece about 12 men who voted for Tromp (why they did, what their other interests and habits are, etc.). I’m not certain tho because I could only get partway through it before becoming too nauseated to carry on.
The show will center around “a strait-laced FBI agent and a street-smart CIA agent” who are a “part of a new, clandestine taskforce charged with solving and preventing domestic terrorism in and around New York City”
