More evidence of cats being a liquid

Given how they love tight spaces and seem to have zero sense of claustrophobia, I’m surprised cats aren’t underground-dwelling species by default. Watching that makes me think of caving videos I’ve seen where people have to scoot through cracks in the rock on their stomachs. shudder, shudder

We had a friend who was a spelunker. He was pretty hefty but knew he could squeeze through a crack the width of his outstretched thumb and pinky finger. He told us of a cave whose ceiling dipped down to about that height above the floor. The floor also dipped enough that the crack was full of water. I cannot imagine squeezing through a horizontal gap like that, on my stomach, under water. :scream:
