They give out pennants for spelling transgressions now?
That’s dependent on the transgression.
Didn’t you get a pendant for being a pedant?
More or less. It was supposed to be won as a mark of penitence and awarded as part of the penalty for an impending suspension. However, mine was awarded by the Wolf, without any penalty, as a result of my penchant for pedantry impeding a conversation: just penciled in, so to speak.
So it doesn’t quite feel properly earned.
You penned that brilliantly!
Really? I was pensive, as it often happens that my penmanship is impenetrable.
I have a YouTube channel where I interview yoga people. It’s mostly a way to help my friends learn how to be comfortable in front of a camera and getting interviewed. I have all of 20 subscribers, and the most people that have ever attended a videoconference was 7, to give you an idea of the scale of things.
Recently we’ve gotten a couple of bigger fish on the show.
We’ve had the Finnish philosopher, Petri Berndstrom:
And Rabia Hayak who is trying to get Breathwork into the dictionary:
BUT, on July 15th, I am going to host a real celebrity, the craziest yoga superstar of them all, the OG Laughter Yogi.
He joined my Facebook group!
I’m not sure how this all happened and it’s so weird but okay, game on, I guess I’m in the big time now.
All I can think of when reading that is…
My online course that I’ve been working on for the past 6 months goes into Beta tonight and launches SUNDAY!!!
Fantastic!!!
What platform are you using to deliver it?
Invanto. I get in on the KILLER Appsumo deal and I own 20 membership sites, 20 course sites, plus the current releases of CartFog (product pages) and Allyhut (affiliate links and affiliate store) and RewardBurst (rewards for learners) and ALL future releases of all products they ever come out with. I got it for less than $100. I <3 Invanto. Right now you can get a FREE product from them. Put your email in here. Do it. Do it. Do it. They are the best. Get CoachRack if you want to host online courses. Love the software and the team.
Thank you! I’m glad I asked!
We had our annual reviews at my job a couple weeks back; just got the news today that I got a small raise.
Yay, me.
Allow me once more to dance the dance of my people in your honor!
First postpartum run. 95 degrees, 15 minute mile and I think part of my vagina might be missing, but I did it.
Good news is that I’m going to be a homeowner, an idea that I’d given up on for a number of years. We are moving from the bay area up to Seattle and getting a townhouse which is big enough for all my projects and looks like it will become the locus for some group art endeavors with my friends up there.
I feel indescribably fortunate about the move.
Bad news is that I got diagnosed with Graves’ a couple months ago and also have some kind of kidney issue going on, so I’m juggling a lot of medical BS during the move. Fingers crossed for my upcoming appointment with the nephrologist.
Just had word that a paper I wrote detailing the last research study I worked on before retiring won an award – it was the most referenced paper since the journal inception in 2010. It was a multi-institution study, and there were about 10 co-authors, people doing different parts of the study, and many others contributing data. It was definitely a group effort – I just happened to be the one coordinating the data, contributing one data set, and analyzing it, so I got to write it.
If I were to go back and read it, I’m not sure I’d understand it any longer. Retirement does that to you.
I look at scripts I wrote 6 months ago and feel that way. And retirement ain’t happeneing any time soon.
Mini-update I just got a message that said the last blood test ruled out Lupus.
So I’ve gotten “good news it’s not Lupus” and “good news you don’t have to go to the emergency room” literal quotes from the same doctor in the past few months.
