Dictating truth sounds horrible. Penalties for tricking people to make them vote at the wrong place or time sounds like a sensible part of democracy. Which is this? The story provides a link to the actual release; it does indeed only mention criminal penalties in that context, but does also talk about a broader strategy of things like labeling state-controlled media and alerting social media users about disinformation campaigns. I guess you could read into that either way, but on its own, it just feels like yet another Rorschach test.
