(video probably uninteresting to folks who aren’t military aviation buffs)
This has been a visible trend for a few years now. The USAF is likely setting up to re-equip with low-tech low-cost light attack aircraft.
They’re useless against real air defences, but they’re perfectly adequate if you’re just slaughtering peasants with complete air supremacy. And they’re a lot more cost effective; cheaper to build, cheaper to maintain, cheaper to replace.
Things are now at the point where the US military is optimising for dollars-per-death efficiency.
Speaking of trends…lately, a large proportion of the ads I see on Twitter or hear on Spotify are recruitment ads for the Australian military and intelligence service.
Sign of the times.
This is confusing - Romero was killed by a death squad run by one of the many US-trained military intelligence experts (D’Aubuisson). That’s the end of the US backing to the death squad, they “only” trained him how to kill and lead a death squad and assassinate important targets. He was part of the military opposition in the Civil War, despite being a death squad leader - which are famously used by the junta to kill whatever they wanted. He was backed by capitalists - private business owners that wanted a private militia.
However, the military junta in El Salvidor (which was funded by the US military) was probably the cause of the massacre at Romero’s funeral where more than 30 people died as bombings and shooting broke out. It was what became so famous - including Duarte blaming “both sides” for the massacre.
Just look at how he claims drones are not a problem because the bases will be overrun by infantry:
Then the comments take the crazy an ramp it up to 15.
This thread is a nice demonstration of why I don’t much bother arguing with Clintonites…
