Toronto hospitals are weird with regard to elevators; some of them use the North American way of saying that the ground floor is the first floor, and another elevator in the same hospital will number things in the European way; the first floor is the next floor up from the ground. On one occasion, I had to get to a certain dept. and depending on the elevator, it was on the sixth or seventh floor.
The Tardis looks cheaper than I remember.

We were forever getting people from non-North American countries showing up at our reference desk on the third floor (North American style), and being very confused because they had been told to go to the second floor, which was a completely different department. I would always direct people by saying “One floor up” or “Two floors down”.
Huh. I thought love hotels were a uniquely Japanese phenom.
