The warrant was signed by the Michigan AG, Dana Nessel, so she would be the one to question, not Whitmer. Generally, at least as of late, Democratic governors still try to give their AGs quite a bit of independence, just as Biden didn’t go around ordering Merrick Garland to prosecute or not prosecute certain people, in spite of GOP claims to the contrary.

A nationwide power outage hit Spain and Portugal on Monday, leaving millions without electricity. Reports indicate issues with the European electric grid.

We have a bit more for you now from the Portuguese energy company REN (Rede Eletrica Nacional).It says that “due to extreme temperature variations in the interior or Spain, there were anomalous oscillations in the very high voltage lines (400 KV), a phenomenon known as ‘induced atmospheric vibration’”.
“These oscillations caused synchronisation failures between the electrical systems, leading to successive disturbances across the interconnected European network.”

Alabama has been Alabama-ing extra hard since the election. I suppose I should be posting the seemingly never ending stream of willful stupidity and hate, but it’s Alabama, and no one really expects anything different. Rightfully so, I might add. I’m tired, I’m scared for my kiddo’s future, and until she is 19 (because that’s the age of legal majority here), I’m trapped here.
