I thought that the connection to Gila monster venom was interesting:
Are people who are desperate for this expensive drug going to start seeking out Gila monsters now?
The current research into applications for GLP-1 drugs is interesting and obviously a lot of people are excited about the prospect of losing weight or beating addiction. But one thing this article doesn’t quite get into is that some studies seem to indicate that it reduces all kinds of cravings and desire, including that for sex. (At least that’s the case in animal studies.) So it raises the possibility that if the drug becomes widely used we may have a society full of thinner, healthier people who have little interest in sleeping with each other.
Everyday is underdog day.
And while every little gesture can help, doing, say something pro-union, might be just a tad more effective than dressing up like one is heading for comic con. Also, J.K. Rowling as a role model?
