What a weird day when something costs less in Ann Arbor! Thatās what I paid 2 weeks ago at Costco for 18 āorganicā brown eggs.
Kidd Jr. ate the last 3 eggs from the previous pack I paid $6 for at lunch today (school was cancelled due to a water main break and an ice storm - he sometimes likes breakfast for lunch or dinner).
To be fair, food prices tend to be pretty high in the UP. Housing is much cheaper, though.
Iām waiting to buy eggs until I can make a trip to ALDI. I should be able to buy them for less than $6 there, if there are any left.

As a small time, independent poultry farmer, Iāve got to say Iām not seeing anything from all this egg inflation. Iāve still got to be a psychologist to support my side hustle! What Iāve got from the current times is a persistent terror of a dead goose dropping on my property and killing everything around me with avian flu.
At my local ALDI today (well south of the UP) eggs were $4.67/doz, limit 2. Yesterday Publix was completely out of regular eggs, and organic and/or free range were around $9/doz, and there werenāt many of them.
