OMG, the Demons on the Punjabā€¦ well done! Iā€™m really happy theyā€™ve gone back to episodes set in historyā€¦

I thought this was interesting.

This episode order seems to be canon
https://www.netflix.com/ca/title/80174608

but for me the series started with Episode 8 (Good Hunting), followed by Episodes 1 through 6 in sequence (thatā€™s as far as Iā€™ve got).

No doubt this says something profound about my personality, and if Netflix releases their algorithm I can save a bundle on therapy.

Iā€™m enjoying the bite-size format, by the way. I donā€™t think the cartoonish stories could hold up if they were made longer.

I will admit that I have only watched the Scalzi episodes, so far.

Three Robots was fun, especially having read the story. Yogurt is almost a little too on the nose for our current reality. Alternate Histories? Meh.

I started with Witness.

When I watched LDR I didnā€™t realize that the episode order was one of four, so my thought on Witness was that it was okay but a definite way to say Yes. This is TV Mature and we mean it.

Rewatched the episodes I really liked and now Iā€™m looking for the original Heavy Metal because Iā€™m really in the mood for seeing the Loc-Nar again.

Even the characters who are not New Age cult leaders talk like New Age cult leaders :unamused:

Yup. I found The Leftovers to be more active at pissing me off, but OA is just ridiculous.

I was going to comment on that show, but now I want to wait and hear what you thought first.

I didnā€™t mind the ending, because I saw the time reset coming.

S2 should be interesting to see how they reconcile the different timelines and being back in their younger bodies.

I didnā€™t realize until later that there was going to be another season. I canā€™t imagine how theyā€™re going to handle the noticeable aging of the kids. I also canā€™t imagine how theyā€™re going to restart Russian Doll, unless they are going to use a whole new cast.

itā€™s like a self-help book full of magical thinking written by a rich white person who bought drugs in an abandoned building once

I love it. I am such the audience - yes, I know. Iā€™m a terrible person who buys yoni eggs. No, not really. But I am that market.

Have you seen

the characters are flawed and corrupt but also are trafficking in actual wisdom that helps people

and they manage to keep it ambiguous whether the supernatural/pseudoscientific stuff is ā€œrealā€ or not

Noā€¦sounds interesting!

For Russian Doll, they kinda have to. Thereā€™s no point in watching it, otherwise.

I love the idea, but not the execution.
