Before tariffs on movies are put in place, I recommend these movies to American friends.

Almost all Hallmark movies and tv shows are filmed in Canada, and most of their contracted talent is Canadian. All of the Arrowverse shows were filmed in Vancouver. I’m pretty sure the Stargate tv shows were also filmed in Canada. Hell, it seems like half the Hollywood stars are Canadian.

I Am What I Am. Three underdog boys want to participate in a Lion Dance Competition. They have a dream, they have the courage, the will and a lot of energy. The problem is that they have no talent or skill. They meet a strange master who will either teach them the correct way to dance or kill them in the process.

From local NPR station WABE with a story from local online paper Decaturish, which had this article about Shane Morton/AKA Professor Morte in their new print edition… They’ll be screening Godzilla Vs. The Thing in a couple of weeks at the Plaza… always a great time!

The Hoodoo vs Christianity thing and calling it a controversy seems at best clickbait. I do think there’s space for discussions around those elements in the film, but without getting into it all i can say is that as it is presented in the article its mostly overblown. Watch the movie and enjoy it, stay away from spoilers :stuck_out_tongue:

Bingo.

I watched a trailer but knew very little about it before watching and i am decidedly thankful for that because there are jaw dropping scenes which i knew nothing about.

I got to the movie as cold as i could possibly hope for. I didn’t even know the movie existed  my partner was excited and got the tickets and just told me it was a vampire movie.

I didn’t even know it was a vampire movie when I went to see it. Literally the only thing I knew was it was written and directed by Ryan Coogler, and starred Michael B. Jordan. I hadn’t even seen a trailer. Best way to watch that movie. I may go for a rewatch.
