I only saw the first of those Addams films. I thought it at least had some good casting in some of the roles, Wednesday, Morticia, even though Raul Julia was no John Astin he had his merits. Never liked disembodied Thing, I always thought there should have been some extra-dimensional being attached to that hand.
I think there’s also something about how our universe is three dimensional. The acceleration spreads particles out that were formerly close together, but the three-dimensional contraction of all the particles toward the low point pulls them together at the same time
Comet’s got a From Dusk Till Dawn marathon on tonight. Yeah, they’re kind of cheesy, but I still enjoy the first (when they hit the vampire bar) and the third. (I never could get into the second one.)
Yup. The second movie is a sequel, with no characters crossing over from the first one, and a more serious tone. (Which is probably why I’ve never gotten into it. I lost interest in it tonight, too. Maybe someday I’ll watch the whole thing.) The third is a prequel, set in the days of the Old West, and it winds up being an origin story for one of the first movie’s more distinctive characters (even though she isn’t played by the same actress.)
Oh I watched several episodes. It looks cool. You keep wishing it would get better.
At some point you realize there’s maybe one character in the whole show you care about, and all you want is she should go home and never see any of these other people again, and that’s not really a good reason to keep watching.
I love the idea of a woman Thor (I also already love the stories about the male one, mind you.) Given the character’s mythic origins, I love the concept of the character transcending gender.
Why does she have to be played by Natalie Portman???
They’d have to get Jaimie Alexander back on board; last I heard, she was still busy filming Blindspot. She might be on-board for a smaller role (I’ve heard that she’s interested in ruling New Asgard alongside Valkyrie), but I doubt she’d be up for a co-lead role like Mighty Thor would be.
'Far’s I’m concerned, they just should’ve started with the FF and used issues 1-50 for that series; same with all the rest of the MU movies. I mean, yes, change the science and make it ACTUAL - no transistor-powered anything, okay? and do something about those cosmic rays, lol - as well as updating the dialogue; but the storyboards are THERE already, fercrineowtloud!
Better yet, save on makeup and costumes and do 'em in state-of-the-art animation and use the same actors that would be in the films to do the voices. But… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDI4qOSxK0s
