Upon ruminating a bit more, The End of the F***ing World is excellent.
Season One is a perfect tragedy.
The two protagonists are both endearing and awful and you don’t know to root for them, for one of them, for the other one. I’m watching it again and that’s not like me anymore to give something my eyeballs twice.
Season Two is giving the fans what they want
One could say it “cheapens” the ending of the first season. Of course James isn’t dead and we need to find out how these two get back together. But I liked it.
It seemed to really come together in the end.
I finally got to see JoJo Rabbit, and it is wonderful. Contrary to some criticisms seemingly based on the trailer, it does not make light of the war or what the Nazis did. I mean shit, even Schindler’s List had funny bits.
watching Watchmen, of course. it’s been sooooo long since i read the graphic novel, so i honestly have no clue what in the hell is going on, but it’s very very fun nevertheless. i’m enjoying trying to guess where it’s all going and how everyone might be connected.
I was asleep for the moon landing. I vaguely remember Watergate. I did see the Apollo-Soyuz hookup. I’m going to try and watch the impeachment hearings somehow.
Oh yeah, the Clinton impeachment…that wasn’t even worth glancing at.
Gee, it’s like you remembered I cut my TV umbi…er, cable, lol - not being sarcastic, genuinely pleased if you did, and even if you didn’t! After posting I’m like huh, how’m I gonna do this without a sub? I did, however, consider public radio; but I want to see the looks on people’s faces. That’s key for this one, I think.
