Ella sings “Hey Jude” - time to get some goosebumps, babies!
EVEN BETTER!!
Everyone seems to hate it, but i just watched the first season of Space Force and i thought it was really funny. all the characters are growing on me, but Malkovich and Carrell together were just the best. (and any scene that just lets Malkovich run with things was sublime. his character is really just like Gen-X brought to life.)
Castles in the Air.
“This film charts the work of Robert Watson Watt, the pioneer of Radar, and his hand-picked team of eccentric yet brilliant meteorologists as they struggle to turn the concept of Radar into a workable reality.”
It stars Eddie Izzard!

Okay, now I’m interested.
I watched the first couple of Terminator movies for the first time ever this week. I’d always just expected that they were like so many Hollywood action movies - random people running around, getting in fights and car chases, shooting at each other, blowing things up, for no apparent reason. Same thing I’ve seen a hundred times before.
But no, the Terminator movies actually have a storyline, and characters. Sure there was a lot of chases and explosions, but there was a reason for it. So that’s pretty cool.
I have the link copied at the current time, so it should start just before they’re with Mr. Cleese:
Don’t stop now
Well, Desi and Karl Freund did help pioneer the three-camera system…
I loved her in “Stage Door” and “Room Service” and “Lured” (the latter is really underrated.)
Thanks!
Finally got around to Birds of Prey, which was an excellent action movie. Margot Robbie is an excellent Harley Quinn!
Also, wrapped up the second season of Torchwood, and I forgot how sad it ended (and how great they redeem Captain John Hart)… I do wonder if they had had plans to revisit both Hart and Jack’s brother Gray (cooling his heels in cold storage). Perhaps they did in the Torchwood audio plays?
But Children of Earth is the next season, and it’s probably the most 2020 season of Torchwood! Looking forward to it, though it’s fucking depressing as hell.
the new season of the Umbrella Academy has been fun. i’m always impressed with the deep cuts and clever covers they come up with for the music for some of the scenes. bloody fight scene to the Backstreet Boys? let’s do it!
I think this is just charming. Plus, a good substitute for human sportsing!
One episode is out so far (I think)
It’s a lot like Final Space. Have people seen Final Space?
Anyway, at least Lower Decks doesn’t sexualize the Caitian and Orion characters the way we might have expected. There is a lot of self-referential humor, though, maybe too much.
This gentleman.
With a couple of edits this would be a classic.
Only 2:30, and yet it has so much to offer.
I’ve seen the whole thing. Hardly essential, but a lot of low rent fun as I recall. The fellow with the bazooka uses it instead of a gun because it’s the only way he can hit a moving target.
Here’s another fun bit:
ETA: This is an Andy Sidaris film. He used to call his stuff T&E (Tits and Explosions.) I mention this because I just discovered the whole thing has been uploaded on pornhub.
