I think it’s on Hulu.
Doesn’t appear to be available for me. It looks like they have an episode of Married With Children that had that title, an episode of some other show with that title, and a documentary about it, but not the actual show itself.
I wonder if playing a bad president inspired martin sheen to play a good one later in his career.
(it leaves prime in seven days…)
Or if playing an hero got Christopher Walken to play more villains later in his career, lol?
Though his first major role that I know of was in “The Anderson Tapes” - dig that hair!
I love that he’s the “techie” back when security systems in common use were still wired, lol.
Batman Vs. Superman
Been watching Kung Fu. Although problematic for having a white lead play a mixed race character, it did manage to give lots of Asian-American actors some good roles that defied stereotypes to some degree. The Shaolin Monk angle is a bit orientalist, to be sure.
Bruce Lee should have starred in it, though. They do have an Asian American actor to play the lead role in the new CW series, though, Olivia Liang.
My high school classmate Hannelle Culpepper is directing it!!!
He might have been a good choice, although I think of his screen image as a bit too tightly wound to be a peace-loving monk. Carradine had a more laid-back vibe, even while he was kicking the crap out of some bad guy.
However, Lee would only have been in season 1, since he died just after the end of that season in 1973.
Regular work playing a peace-fighty monk might have changed his life.
yet another murder and madness in the (ant)arctic story
I suspect that the hypothetical Lee version would have been tweaked to better match his persona and abilities.
One could also hope that in this alternate reality where Lee stars in Kung Fu, he doesn’t die so soon, although I imagine it’s just as likely that the stress of a regular series could have made him die even sooner.
Just finished watching the RiffTrax guys Live-riffing Starship Troopers.
(Someone else in the house was watching the debate, but I just noped the heck out of that)
(warning, mild rant)
The Riftrax thing was the oddest mix of fun and horrible I’ve sat through in a long time, and not because of either the movie or the riffs. They used scener.com to handle sync between the movie playing on your own Netflix account and the riffers, and it was… not ideal.
The short version is: the entire thing was delayed at least 30 minutes due to “technical issues”, I spent another 30 minutes after the issues were “fixed” before I finally connected and started both seeing the movie and hearing the riffs (until then, I was hearing the riffs but was still seeing a silly Rifftrax fake “trivia” pre-show video), after I connected the Netflix playback started stuttering about 10 minutes later which lead to another 10 minutes of getting either errors or a constantly-refreshing Netflix window, and then once things finally started working right it was still spotted with dropouts of some or all of the riffers and (towards the end) the movie started sputtering again as well.
During the middle part while it was actually working, it was great. And I acknowledge that some of the issues were probably due to my lousy internet connection. But, with how often my troubleshooting showed that the problem wasn’t my connection, I don’t think I’ll be messing with “Scener” again after that experience.
Maybe they could send us a version of Buckaroo Banzai starring George Takei?
I don’t know if Candy’s playing the clarinet actually, but Levy is really playing the accordion.
Schitt’s Creek final season. It’s good!
I put it on autoplay to watch all five parts. VERY good.
He was born on October 31, 1950.
I find myself caught somewhere between “why would I ever spend that much for anything like that??” and “my precious…”
(Granted, more on the “stop drooling, you can’t afford it and it’s not worth that… and stop talking to yourself, too!” side…)
I recently spent 50 bucks on a new LOTR + Hobbit + Silmarillion book set based on the cover. Opened it to find it unreadably typset. So, you know. When it comes to LOTR merchandise, maybe less is more?
oh yesssss… i’m definitely on the “my Precioussssss” side. i wants it, i wants it…
