He’s not had a successful TV series. “Get Smart” doesn’t count, as Buck Henry was the main drive behind that. Ever see “When Things Were Rotten”?

Mel needs to make it into a movie. If he can do a series, he can do a movie.

And now, it’s “Can You Guess What Film I’m Watching”?

Here are some clues: It takes place from morning till evening. Four characters, one female, the others male. It’s in black and white. It wasn’t produced until long after the original source was written, as the author wrote it, sealed it, and put in his will that he didn’t want it opened until after his death.
