we will not see Flow tomorrow. Kid popped a small fever and the sniffles. We donāt go out when one of us is sick.
Maybe in the next few weeks? It isnāt showing many places around here.

Quite interesting, but that was helluva padded. 20 minutes was not needed to explain 1- limited animation techniques, and 2- it isnāt even an ascot.
Yeah but Beau Brummell mention soā¦ kinda cool
ETA: I donāt give a shit about Scooby Doo I always hated that show
After finally getting around to watching all of Mad Men, Halt and Catch Fire was recommended to us. By the end of Season 1, I donāt think it compares favorably to many great features of Mad Men, but weāve heard that it gets better, so weāll stick with it. I do like that it spends more time with main woman characters than Mad Men did. Anyone else seen it?
(Thatās about the finale, so Iāll save it for then!)
the mum and i stumbled into this Japanese melodrama (mum says it is like a Japanese telenovela) and are thoroughly enjoying it! such a set-up and the crazy (mis)adventures that follow are quite fun. the time is 1860s Edo period and this modern brain surgeon is somehow transported back into this time. there are some accurate historical references that are a nice touch in an otherwise wild storytelling. super fun.
standout character (to me) Wayne LeGette Misaake Uchino as Ryoma Sakamoto, an actual figure of the time (end of Shogunate, return to imperialism).
EDIT: picture a gender-swapped Outlander, without all the rutting, and you get the idea.
My two favorite genres are historical fiction and time-travelā¦.sold!
Yeah, I quite enjoyed it. I love the punk programmerā¦
That seems totally batshit.
that looks like fun!
will pursue!
Me too!
Not clear what THERMAE ROMAE has to do with the BBC show. The original manga / anime/ and now live action is about a Roman who gets transported to modern day Japan.
I think theyāre just two very different shows, united in the conceit of time travel to or from the current day.
I think Alex Garland wants to be known as the āwar filmā director maybe? I guess itās nice that he has a combat vet co-directing/writing this, but I donāt knowā¦ I think this just leans into the whole glorifying war theme common in American war filmsā¦
Best Asterix movie hands down.
