Iāve never seen it. I didnāt grow up watching the cartoon, so I never had much interest in the movie when it came out, and then it got bad reviews so I just never watched it.
Butā¦I have noticed over the last few years, Iām seeing more and more people, from critics to random redditors, say the movie is really good. I see more praise than criticism of it these days. Maybe Iāll check it out.
I saw it in the theaters with my kids and enjoyed it. It had one thing that I really like in a movie: it showed me something in a way I had never seen before. Do I remember much beyond the visuals? Um no. Maybe I should re-watch sometime.
I was worried season 2 of Andor wouldnāt be as good as season 1. Holy shit, I think itās better. And timely. It feels like this script had to have been written in the last couple of months, but Iām sure most, if not all, of this was filmed well before the election last November.
If you enjoyed They Cloned Tyrone, this seems like an interesting break down of the film and some of the deeper meaning you may have missedā¦
How itās goināā¦
Alsoā¦
heās not wrong
Just watched episode 1. It was enjoyable but one thing that I found a little distracting was that the TIE fighter must have been built out of Beskar or something. It was getting shot, smashing through thick metal doors, banging up against canyon walls and all kinds of stuff without so much as a dent or scratch. Since when can a TIE fighter withstand so much as a sneeze without blowing up? But maybe that one was special and thatās why he was stealing it, I guess.
They said it was supposed to be an experimental ship. Thatās why he couldnāt even figure out how to get it to take off at first. Some more stuff about this is revealed in ep. 3.
First thought at the start of this trailerā¦āWow, what a cast!ā Halfway throughā¦āwait a minuteā¦is this a remake of War of the Roses?ā Googlesā¦Yep! Stillā¦great cast, it might be worth it, but of all the films to remakeā¦
I did the exactly same thing when I first saw itā¦
I just watched Sinners. That was the best movie Iāve seen in a long time.
heard an interview with the director, Ryan Cooglar, on NPR Fresh Air. sounds like something mum and i need to break out and go see at the cinema.
plus, i just looove Michael B. Jordan!
Its great, the less you know the better. I hadnt even watched the trailer, i just knew the basic gist of the movie from what my partner told me. Thereās a lot i can say about the movie but i donāt want to influence anyoneās experience on watching it.
Yeah I hadnāt seen a trailer and I didnāt even know the basic gist. I loved going in blind like that.
Yep, me too.
I think itāll still be worth seeing, given the cast, though!
I donāt have time right now to watch that video, but it does include the official trailer, which doesnāt have spoilers but I think the movie works better if you havenāt seen it. Also, right before showing the trailer, the interviewer casually tells you what the evil in the film is. Itās also not a spoiler, but I enjoyed not knowing what it was until it became obvious.
Thanks! I may hold off on watching the interview then! Iām gonna try and get my family to take me to see it for motherās day, me thinks!
