Whatcha Watchin'?

I’ve never seen it. I didn’t grow up watching the cartoon, so I never had much interest in the movie when it came out, and then it got bad reviews so I just never watched it.

But…I have noticed over the last few years, I’m seeing more and more people, from critics to random redditors, say the movie is really good. I see more praise than criticism of it these days. Maybe I’ll check it out.

Been meaning to watch this for a while and am finally getting around to it…

I saw it in the theaters with my kids and enjoyed it. It had one thing that I really like in a movie: it showed me something in a way I had never seen before. Do I remember much beyond the visuals? Um no. Maybe I should re-watch sometime.

I was worried season 2 of Andor wouldn’t be as good as season 1. Holy shit, I think it’s better. And timely. It feels like this script had to have been written in the last couple of months, but I’m sure most, if not all, of this was filmed well before the election last November.

If you enjoyed They Cloned Tyrone, this seems like an interesting break down of the film and some of the deeper meaning you may have missed…

How it’s goin’…

Just watched episode 1. It was enjoyable but one thing that I found a little distracting was that the TIE fighter must have been built out of Beskar or something. It was getting shot, smashing through thick metal doors, banging up against canyon walls and all kinds of stuff without so much as a dent or scratch. Since when can a TIE fighter withstand so much as a sneeze without blowing up? But maybe that one was special and that’s why he was stealing it, I guess.

They said it was supposed to be an experimental ship. That’s why he couldn’t even figure out how to get it to take off at first. Some more stuff about this is revealed in ep. 3.

First thought at the start of this trailerā€¦ā€œWow, what a cast!ā€ Halfway throughā€¦ā€œwait a minute…is this a remake of War of the Roses?ā€ Googles…Yep! Still…great cast, it might be worth it, but of all the films to remake…

I did the exactly same thing when I first saw it…

I just watched Sinners. That was the best movie I’ve seen in a long time.

Its great, the less you know the better. I hadnt even watched the trailer, i just knew the basic gist of the movie from what my partner told me. There’s a lot i can say about the movie but i don’t want to influence anyone’s experience on watching it.

Yeah I hadn’t seen a trailer and I didn’t even know the basic gist. I loved going in blind like that.

Yep, me too.

I have not watched this yet… but…

Maybe y’all can tell me if there are spoilers.

I think it’ll still be worth seeing, given the cast, though!

I don’t have time right now to watch that video, but it does include the official trailer, which doesn’t have spoilers but I think the movie works better if you haven’t seen it. Also, right before showing the trailer, the interviewer casually tells you what the evil in the film is. It’s also not a spoiler, but I enjoyed not knowing what it was until it became obvious.

Thanks! I may hold off on watching the interview then! I’m gonna try and get my family to take me to see it for mother’s day, me thinks!
