My hot take on The Matrix is that it feel incredibly dated because it relies on landline phone technology as a central theme. I know that landlines are part of the alternate world, but to me it makes the whole premise of their traveling seem so antiquated, as if they all had hopped up on penny farthing bicycles for transportation.
This has some interesting details about the show⌠like how the Misfits were meant to be based on women punks.
Doctor Who Reportedly Dead At Disney+ | Cosmic Book News.
Disney apparently wants RTD out.
The War Between the Land and the Sea is filmed and due for release. Sony, through Bad Wolf, remain involved.
Iâm shocked, SHOCKED, that Disney is trying to through their weight around with a BBC showâŚ
and this looks goodâŚ
One thing it puts me in mind of is that as time passes, and we study the events that have passed, our understanding of who matters and what ideas matter changes, based on our present. A documentary on Hannah Arendt is timely, because of what weâre facing right now.
If anybody wants to catch this, Carlaâs starting over from the beginning, right now! (Sorry for the lack of warning, it was a last-minute decision by the streamer. She originally wasnât going to read the book again until fall.)

(Another link, in case the Twitch link aboveâs borked:
âŚitâs embedding? Iâm confused. Anyway, the channelâs called CarlasWildRide, if youâd like to stop by.)
This was really good fun.
Later, when I had enjoyed that series and was fairly bored, I watched the first ep of Criminal Minds.
I had no idea Mandy Patinkin was the star of the show.
In fact, I had to IMDB it.
I swore I knew the voice, but, you knowâŚ
And now Iâm hooked.
I will be starting a GoFundMe in order to try to wean me off the 17 looming seasons.
But then, itâs Mandy Frikkin Patinkin!
See yâall in a couple of monthsâŚ
ETA: Nice thing about Criminal Minds - all the actors you kinda recognise at the back of your mind, for example - the bad guy in Shawshank - he shows up in S1E11, and not as a horrible rapist, much to his relief. No, really, I spend half my time watching the series and flicking over to IMDB 'cos the back of my brain says âHey, wait a mo, I know her from âŚâ etc.
Patinkin was actually only in it for the first little bit. I have seen the one with Jason Alexander and did not recognize him until he finally got angry, revealing his true George nature.
When youâre done, have a go at Dead Like Me.
Intriguing, is the portrait real, is it from life or a fantasy, is the fashion correct, what are the materials/media.
⌠did they find it buried under a landslide?
Nothing really matters to me
The history of the portrait after it was created, who the artist might have been (consensus was it is probably not a professional work) were also examined.
Been there, loved it.
Dead Like Me is really excellent, and his other show that was also cut short Pushing daisies is worth watching as well.
I finally watched this movie. Ok, actually I only watched some parts as I was disturbed by the sounds of the victims of the killer parachute as they were being munched on. My wife watched it and although She liked the movie, She is throwing me a lot of questions and I don´t want to overthink.
This is a couple years old, but I just got round to watching it.
Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan (hilarious) and quite the stellar cast.
Some reviewers called it silly.
Forget that - itâs a very funny tongue-in-cheek whodunnit based loosely around Agatha Christieâs The Mousetrap.
Made me glad I watched it. Go ahead, itâs a feel-good. We need more like this.
Wow, guys⌠this movie is⌠just⌠wowâŚ
wow.
