Whatchya Workin' On, O Creatives?

I’ve been doing a lot of painting but I just don’t feel like taking photos of stuff.

Oh hell, lol. And there’s others, heart-oriented, that are hanging in the bay window. If it’s nice out I’ll take a photo of them tomorrow.

I could not be more proud of my daughter and I for what we have done with our cookie business.

A) We upped our game with our new logo. We had a lot of fun designing it. We wanted it to have a local connection, so we looked at whiskey logos for inspiration as we felt the vanilla tones and the sense of a comforting old school product were similar. And we added the stars from the Tennessee flag into our label design.

B) We are now in a commercial kitchen!!! This is huge for us. We can now bake 240 cookies at one time. It’s an amazing game changer. We also can make up huge batches of dough and freeze it then make cookies to order. We are so excited.

C) We have our website up and running. Please visit! Better yet, order! We deliver by USPS Priority Mail.

D) We have had a real estate agency ordering cookies on the regular for referral gifts and houeswarming gifts. It’s been really nice to have them bankroll the business startup, and we are planning to cold call real estate agencies and send them cookies as a way to get more on deck.

We might have a serious business here!

House decos for Valentine’s Day. Oh yeah, all my stuff’s for sale. I am truly hoping, though, that if I don’t make it big when I’m alive, I’ll do so after I’m dead, thereby leaving my son a decent legacy.

As for the marquee: I belong to Home Tester Club, which sends out merch to be tested and reviewed. The marquee had LED lights that almost immediately burned out, but I figured I can use it anyhow, as you can see. BUT…the letters? THERE IS NO S. None. A poop emoji, but no S.

The cover to an old mini-jigsaw puzzle that my mom really liked. It looks even cooler under an ultraviolet light.

One under incandescent light, the other under UV (photo doesn’t do it justice). From a set of iron-ons from Family Circle magazine (originally red-on-white), mid-1970s; acrylic on cotton/poly blend on watercolor paper.

Addenda: I added some finishing touches; can you tell?

From the 7/6/1977 edition of the Detroit News, ink and watercolor on the original blue-and-red iron-on on a cotton/poly blend, mounted on the inside of the front cover of an old accounting ledger.

Dick Tracy is from the 9/24/1976 edition of the Detroit News, the other two are from Family Circle, mid-1970s; all are iron-ons. Dick was originally blue on white, the others red on white.

I’m not trying to be some pseudo-post-Modernist Warholian, lol - I’m just BORED and using what I have at hand to try not to lose my frick-frackin’ mind!

Yes, it’s art; a friend of mine said that my brother and I were “certainly artistic”; I replied along the lines of “Well, yeah - we’re artists, so…”

Finished works, framed and ready to be sold.

Addendum: My son said the eye reminded him of David Bowie.

Oh, and this:

And they’re all cool-looking under a UV light.

I don’t expect to make any computer games, but wonder if some of these might help me make counters or other drawings: Humble Software Bundle: Fresh Start Game Dev Assets Bundle (pay what you want and help charity)

I just finished putting together a half-hour set for the Sonic Sound Synthesis show on The Neon Hospice. It’ll probably air in May.

I’ve been reading Harry Sword’s Monolithic Undertow lately and listening to Sunn O))) and some xenharmonic stuff I picked up on Bandcamp… so it turned out to be a pretty intense drone set. And it’s haunted – there are distinct sounds in it that I didn’t put there. :ghost:
