According to the article, the whois database is the best place.
The nice thing that GoDaddy does is come up with atlernatives if the name youâre searching is taken, so you can see with one search whether the domain is available with multiple TLDs. Of course, itâs not so nice if that leads to squatting, but I remain skeptical that that happens.
Iâm not against registering the top results (5, 10?) before a final decision in order to guarantee availability, assuming the price tag is not too high.
Hmm. With domain masking and forwarding, we could be all things to all people - everybody gets their own URL!
According to whois, thereâs no match for waywardsrefuge.com, .net, .space, and .cafe. Waywardsrefuge.org results in a ânot foundâ message.
Great! So go up to the post above where all the names are listed, edit it (itâs a wiki) and then add it to the verified names with a comment that multiple TLD variations are available. Make sure you remove it from the unverified list, if itâs there.
Done!
also was thinking mutantspeakeasy.com. or I rather like this variation mutantspeakeasy.cafe. All variants are available. Will add it to the big Wiki.
Is that mutant speakeasy or mutants peak easy?
insert why not both gif
mu tan ts pea keas y, of course.
What did I do this time?
I thought you did the mega-edit of the list of names above, adding the explanation of how to use the wiki and all the names that got verified, but looking back on the tracked changes, maybe it was @ChickieD?
Anyway, youâre all my heroes.
It was me. Iâll be working through it as I have time. But thanks
Insert video of âDid You Ever Know that Youâre My Hero?â here.
I didnât even post on this thread until I was summoned
For some reason I thought it was you - I guess I misread the notifications.
Still, youâre my hero. But not like @ChickieD.
Not too sure about the âLoader Lucyâ.
