I believe it’s been a full week since I put the list together, and since @ChickieD spent a great deal of time verifying names, the list of verified names is now longer than the list of unverified names. So unless there is any objection in the next few hours, I will put verified names into a multiple choice poll and we will screen out the least popular names. From there, we will move to another round of multiple choice, then a final round of single choice (unless anyone has a better suggestion about how to run this).

TLDR: finalize your suggestions in the verified name list today or forever hold your peas!

I think that we need to take a minute to look at the sites that have .com/.org/.net extensions with verified names because we really need to think about whether we want a name to move forward if the .com is a porn site, or a gambling site, or something that might create problems for users logging on at work who might accidentally time the more common domain name.

I have some time today to finalize the verification and also test out the other sites associated with a name.

I’m sure I’ve heard of at least one of the more dubious resellers doing just that off the back of what you search for via their availability search tool.

“Oh, what a shame, yourea.mug is (rustle, rustle) not available. Owner is prepared to sell for $KA-CHING.”
