So long as they don’t do both do the same show. Aunt Slappy is confused enough with just one of them on stage.

Fun fact: This lady toured in “The Pajama Game” and counted Ms. Haney (the female 2d who was the same in the B’way production):

i mean, as much as i love Natalie Merchant and 10k Maniacs, it’s just no contest when they are up against Patti Smith and Bryan Ferry. the originals win for me, hands down.

I always think this was the original. Maybe cos I don’t like Patti Smith, but I’m not wild about Springsteen either.

turns out we’re BOTH right: they apparently co-wrote it for her album!

and excuse me, you don’t like Patti OR care much for Springsteen? i feel faint…

In both of these, I hear a noticeable difference in balance between vocals vs instruments in the originals vs the 10,000 Maniacs version.

She’s a user of others, and I don’t think she’s all that talented. I don’t like Bob Dylan, either.

Springsteen’s just not all that.

I’m not gonna admire someone just because so many other people do, or because I’m told to. Heck, I hear tell of folks who don’t like the Beatles!

To each their own.

Watched Dangerous Minds again last night. It’s still a good movie.

Then needed to hear the theme song again.

The 1976 original, by Stevie Wonder:

The 1995 movie theme by Coolio:

Weird Al’s take on it:

And something I didn’t know existed - Coolio and Stevie Wonder together:
