Finally…
So, it would depend on how many folks in Congress want to get re-elected in 2022, mebbe?
I’ve never watched him, but personally, I find that particular picture of Seth Meyers that they always use very creepy.
Oh, he’s wonderful, really.
Probably… it’s just that one photo that bugs me. Can’t watch him here, his show is blocked for us in Belgium.
For what reason? I’m curious.
It’s Belgium. Does there need to be another reason?
I kid, I kid…
Could be wrong, but usually region blocking for youtube videos has to do with distribution rights.
I don’t really know. But it’s very common. It might be contractual issues; it’s unlikely that any of our TV networks would be interested in buying the rights just for a few thousand expats, most of whom probably wouldn’t watch it anyway. There may be some arcane regulation in the US Code that prohibits it. Or it might be as simple that we won’t/can’t buy the products that they are advertising, so therefore we shouldn’t be entitled to the entertainment. There are ways around it, but I choose not to exercise them unless there is some benefit to me.
Hey, come on. I know you’re joking, but I don’t know you well enough to take it. I have zero sense of humor about it.
Years ago, when we decided to emigrate from the US, Belgium took us in and has been very, very good to us. We fit in well here, which we never did in the US. We have made a very nice life here. I, perhaps foolishly, hope that the reasons we left the US can someday, somehow, be fixed, but I no longer believe that will happen in my remaining lifetime.
Does it help that I lived there for several years, and kid out of nostalgia?
Thank you.
I have no doubt. I’m an admirer of the history of that region, especially of King Albert I.
Not to worry, I don’t take it personally.
I freely admit that this time of the year, I miss southern California.
Our pre-EU history, particularly the 19th century, is not the greatest.
I’m talking about his leadership during WWI. King Leopold III is burning in hell, or wherever dreadful dead rulers end up.
