It doesn’t help that the Guardian is calling it a “newly formed department” when it hasn’t come close to being formed yet, and would require an act of congress to do so.
and with this total quack being considered Surgeon General material:
Ladapo and Kennedy would make a great tag-team ushering back in a world of diphtheria, smallpox, grippe, horrors and night hoss.
your next doctor will be dressed like this:
Plague doctors acted on the best information they had and they put their own lives at risk in order to help people.
as i posted that, i thought to myself, “yeah, but they [magas] don’t want to wear masks, do they?”
edit for clarity
Sounds like that there Florida Times-Union is a bit if an enemy from within, if you ask me.
STONE THEM!!!
Thanks for posting that as I wouldn’t have seen this shot of Tru … I mean, Musk, otherwise! “‘high-IQ small-government revolutionaries’ … willing to work over 80 hours a week …” Yeah, I’m sure you’ll find a lot of applicants for that. It’ll probably help if you ignore the ‘high-IQ’ part.
“WANTED: Independently wealthy narcissistic dilettantes to join volunteer group to kill government.”
We’re looking for people to come up with more ways that we can grift the government.
Get in on the ground floor on the next big grifts!
“Come work for us for free.” I swear the only way this could scream “con job” more would be if Musk was asking people to pay him for the privilege of working there.
And also: Richest person on earth asks people to work for free, like, what da fuq?
Maybe it could be an internship.
I suppose the “… must be willing to be sexually harassed.” is always implicit in such things.
Hey, speaking of scams, I’m seeing a lot of “interesting” offers in our mail server traps today. (Some of our staff members have been here for 25+ years or more, so their email address has been grabbed by sooo many lists.) The most common seems to be a scam to get people to buy gold – I’ve seen the exact same wording from two different sources. I’m seriously considering giving the URLs to a test box just to see how much malware each of them has.
I’ll be honest, I think that’s just standard behavior for a billionaire.
Ohhh…sorry…
It really is selecting for those who would insist the Emperor’s outfit was very fancy indeed. Which is no surprise to the people who wrote the ad.
