WOW. love this. i also love the subtle call-back to that classic era Doctor Who episode, when they find this alien (naturally) leading a cult in a tiny rural village.

I’ve gone and stumbled across another bike I’m going to want. Witness, the Velocino, a 1930-1960’s thing intended for city riding:

I love this video and wish I knew what documentary it was from.

Fun facts: yesterday was Good Vibrations’ 53rd birthday. Speaking of birthdays, Hal Blaine recently turned 90 and still plays drums.

Also I love these outtakes of him and Brian Wilson working on a promo spot for legendarily weird and wonderful Beach Boys song Vega-Tables:

Mostly posting this for the oh-so-governmental pun in the headline, though it’s interesting to read the menus as well (which are in English – just the government commentary is in French). Wish they’d included amounts. Anyone know what A/S stands for?

ETA: Found it! “Artificial Sweetener”. Yet another reason I can never leave Earth.

As I try to remember the French I once learned… um… “what does an astronaut eat on a mission?” Ok, Hmm… “something about dehydrated food, vitamin capsules,” yeah, that makes sense… wait, “the menu of science fiction films?” Wha…?

(figured the rest out after a bit of stumbling, and google translate does a pretty decent translation)

What I find interesting is that WNDR felt the need to have a separate subheading titled “weird”.

So now there’s precedence to prosecute for all the other ex-partners who stalk, harass, and attack their exes, right? /s

WNDR assumes however all responsibility for the satirical nature of its articles and for the fictional nature of their content. All characters appearing in the articles in this website – even those based on real people – are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any persons, living, dead, or undead is purely a miracle.

But still…
