That’s he one! Thanks!
I’ve been getting into The Voice because it’s an easy thing to watch with my mom. I’ve been catching up on YouTube. So it played this version from ? Country but these kids singing Creep are insanely cool
I have never understood the fascination with that song, but that was fabulous!
Oh, I realize that you’re not sure about the country: it seems to be Germany to me.
Wow, that was beautiful.
At first I assumed it was all in English (I didn’t recognize the show because I never watch such things) As it started, I began to wonder – was the girl not playing piano partially deaf? Her enunciation was not clear. But she spoke German clearly. Is that the way the song is supposed to go?
Not sure how I feel about this:
He’s going to be playing a live action version of ‘Genie.’
O_o
My feelings on the matter are:
- I get nothing out of watching a Disney live-action remake that I don’t get out of watching the original. They’re pointless, every one of them.
- That said, they make bucketloads of money for Disney, so Disney isn’t going to stop making them anytime soon.
- No one is going to be as good in that role as Robin Williams was. Williams embodied the Genie.
- With the decision to remake this movie, and the need to recast the role… Will Smith is as good a choice as any, and better than most.
So, yeah. The whole project is pointless and stupid, and replacing Williams with anyone as good or better impossible, but I don’t have any objection to Smith, specifically, being in this role, as long as he makes it his own (which it looks like he’s doing), rather than trying to imitate Williams’ version (like Dan Castellaneta did).
Real talk, that.
Also agreed.
I think, so long as they really, really make sure to not try to re-tread the character, Will Smith might be… okay in the role. And from the trailers, they do seem to be making it his own thing and not trying to reproduce the controlled insanity of Williams’ performance.
I’m mildly optimistic for it, which is more than I can say for the upcoming live-action Dumbo remake…
Actually, that role was not made for Robin Williams. The whole movie was stolen from the Thief and The Cobbler.
Oh absolutely.
I’m not a Robin Williams absolutist. I just think a live action Aladin is ill-advised.
Agreed.
Obligatory, just for the song at the end.
OK. I’ve never actually seen the movie. But now, after seeing the honest trailer, it appears that “Alladin” is nothing more than a total rip-off of “The Thief of Baghdad.” Right down to the bread stealing and bad-guy’s snake-staff!
Whoa. Dr. Manhattan has updated his look!
Oh… that looks bad.
