It’s June or in Finnish kesäkuu literally summer moon. It’s about 13°C (~55°F) and raining most of the day same as yesterday.
My favorite weather! You really know how to sell your country!
25.2°C = ~77.4°F
Heavy rains here now unfortunately.
The past few days have been rainy, cloudy with highs in the mid-60s. That’s like 18° celsius.
A week from now we might be up to 100°. That’s like 37° - 38°.
Dense fog with rain again.
Tomorrow the heat wave begins.
Midsummer weather disappointment
Midsummer, Finland’s major summer holiday, is this Friday. And the weather we can expect for the long weekend is a major topic of conversation.Unfortunately, it’s not going to be a dry, sunny one for most of us, reports Ilta-Sanomat. Thursday and Sunday in particular are forecast to see heavy rainfall, while Friday should be dry but windy, with temperatures in the mid-teens.
The best chance of a sunny Midsummer Friday is on the west coast, according to the meteorologists.
The one week end when it needs to be wet enough for bonfires but sunny enough to get drunk jump in a lake and drown.
Looks like a Noir film.
Isolated thunderstorms blew through the area today.
With one storm the rain was so intense and the wind was blowing too strong, that the view out the window looked like a white-out conditions during a blizzard. I am not exaggerating.
I probably have experienced storms like that at ground level, but I’ve never seen one from the 25th floor before.
Extreme heat this weekend. We are going up to Maine to visit my brother, but it’s still gonna be 98 on Tuesday and his house doesn’t have AC.
We’re planning on going to my sister-in-law’s family’s “camp” that day because it’s nearer the coast and cooler and also has a heat pump, and we’ll probably stay at a motel that night.
(To me camp implies something more temporary, primitive, military, and/or queer… then again the “primitive cabins” at Lake of the Ozarks had electric lights and heaters installed the last time we went.)
Ah jeez!
