Professional asshat and perpetual embarrassment to Canada, Dr Jordan B Peterson, recently called for assigned enforced marriage. But apparently socialized health care is a bridge to far, and pronouns lead to gulags?

Wherever he goes, he speaks in sermons about the inevitability of who we must be. “You know you can say, ‘Well isn’t it unfortunate that chaos is represented by the feminine’ — well, it might be unfortunate, but it doesn’t matter because that is how it’s represented. It’s been represented like that forever. And there are reasons for it. You can’t change it. It’s not possible. This is underneath everything."
Translation: “I am too intellectually lazy and self-indulgent to consider the possibility that things aren’t the way they’ve always been and/or the way I want them to be.”

Yup, and there was a set roster of “do not approach” types when I was at Western too. I changed an essay topic once because my prof recommended I talk to the faculty expert on that particular author – someone I had been warned away from by multiple people.
Meanwhile, it was claimed on campus women weren’t into his specialty because, you know, none of them ever asked him to be their thesis advisor.
In the tweet thread, I love how the eyewitness essay was dismissed as hearsay, but the man’s essay that really was hearsay was taken seriously.
I also love how apparently the university needs lots and lots and lots of women attacked and traumatised by these assholes before they can get rid of them. Like one woman’s life and career being fucked up isn’t enough. Compare to drunk driving penalties.
