The map library

it sucks, to be sure.
i spent 20 years in that hellscape. it makes people go mad.
as to the random burns from surfaces - one might keep oven mitts in the car in order to be able to touch the steering wheel after having parked in the high heat and full sun. a car’s interior temp could hit highs over 150F/66C. ouch!
i hated that place!

The intermediate value theorem specifies that there must be at least one interval of exactly the right amount of woomba, somewhere on this map. I doubt woomba is discontinuous function.

That depends- If woomba was quantised, it would be possible for the map to hold true, but I’m afraid I’m not sufficiently versed in Quantum Aussiedynamics to determine if this holds.

Another complicating factor is that if this is a quantum entity, you won’t know if the woomba is in a Yeah/nah or a Nah/yeah state until you observe it.

It is typically superimposed, but the spin matters. You could have a “Nah yeah” or “Yeah nah”, or the occasional “Yeah, nah yeah”

Sorry, I had to edit it.

Oh, what a map…

Well…

Parana - Brazilian Russia. It was an early 2000´s meme. A lot of people started to pay attention to odd and strange things that occurred in this state. It is the home of our version of Florida Man according to the meme.

Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina - Whiter Than Denmark - Two states with a lot of white people from Europe. Some of them are very proud of their roots and then get shocked when they travel to US and Europe and all of sudden they realize they are latinos. Not all the people from there are like this, but you know, this map is a meme.

São Paulo - All the Money - This state concentrates almost all of the country’s wealth. It has a lot of industries and a financial elite that runs the nation.

Brasília - UGH - The capital. People despise the politicians, yet they vote for the same people and families for decades and decades.

Espírito Santo - Not a Real Place - A very discret state.

Minas Gerais - Grandma´s house. - A conservative (in a good way) state, home of good people, who make good food, good coffee and like to chat. It is like visiting your granny.

Pantanal - Big ass swamp - Not a state, but a region, an ecosystem, a great flooded plain, a wetland full of exuberant natural life, under constant pressure from fire and agribusiness.

Goias, Mato Grosso, Tocantins, Pará e Mato Grosso do Sul - Your food comes from here - Agribusiness states. Despite the map’s legend, not all food comes from there. Most of this food is exported and everyone sees on television the destruction this causes to the country’s ecosystems.

Desert and poverty - The semi-arid region of the Northeast. Unfortunately, it is true. This region is the least developed in the country. But it isn´t a desert at all.

Used to be ass jungle - The border between the Amazon and agribusiness. The forest was sacrificed for the agriculture and minning.

Acre - Not a real place - One of the most unfunny memes created by a highly unhappy type of person. This state is very distant and the people who created the meme love to pick on things that are not their boring home.

The Amazon States - Big Ass Jungle - Pretty accurate.

The litoral of Maranhão - Flooded Desert - Accurate.

Modern Day feudalism - A bit accurate. These are states with elites that have dominated local politics for centuries. The funny thing is that this meme is something that reveals all the prejudice, stupidity and bad faith of its creator. Feudalism, which here is called coronelismo, is present throughout the country, but it has become conventional to say and believe that only the most distant corners of the Northeast suffer from this evil.

The litoral of the northeast - Beaches and Crime - A bit accurate. The beaches are really beautiful, the sea water is warm (unlike Rio, which is freezing cold) and the cost of living is low. In recent years, organized crime from São Paulo and Rio has extended its tentacles to this region, which has seen an increase in violence in cities that had never experienced such a thing before.

Rio - What you think Brazil is - For much of the 20th century, Rio was the country’s showcase, and many resented this, but when people talk about Brazil, they immediately think of Samba, Copacabana, etc. Unfortunately, this has been changing since the 1980s. When they say Rio, people usually think about the city, not the state.
