Is he or she deaf? Those beautiful blue eyes …

I called her with the universal cat language: pss, psss, psss and She came to me.

So her blue eyes mean that she has Siamese in her, those are the only cats where blue eyes are not also linked to deafness.

looks like BuddyCat!
such a Handsomme Boy!

“universal cat language: pss, psss, psss”

i find that cats respond to me simply clicking my tongue in a sort of “tic tic tic” call. they all seem to become interested and come around to investigate. of course, it helps that i offer treats when i call them that way.
i am become cat whisperer.
they seem to listen.

I have news about the stray. Yesterday afternoon I fed the cat a mix of dry food and a sachet of chicken broth with chunks of chicken meant for cats. He started eating and I noticed a long string of bloody drool on one of the corners of his mouth and I’ve been immensely worried for the cat since, I’m worried that the cat may stop eating if it has gum or dental issues but so far its still coming around for food.

The other issue is that the animal center just got a large batch of stray cats (about 30 cats), so they are currently unwilling to take more cats. The language that was used was that they may or may not take our stray, but chances are high that they would turn us away and honestly I’m gutted. The two options I currently have are another organization that helps strays but they do not keep the cat, they would release it back once treated. But we would have to schedule something with them and it may take some time for them to be ready to accept the stray. The other option is that we take the cat ourselves to a low-cost vet and get it help ASAP but money is tight and I don’t know if I can afford it.

I feel so awful that I’ve waited to get the cat help, now knowing that it might have some kind of health issue beyond the skin issue i saw. I’m very busy with work this week so I don’t know what to do, but my partner in the meantime will try to schedule something with the other organization and see what is the soonest they can take the cat in.

Please don’t blame yourself. Some things are simply out of our control.

This guy says he can speak Cat and can call a cat with a single word.

I tried it at home and my cats looked me like I was dumber than a regular dumb human.

Can you call your vet to see what they recommend? they might have other options you don’t know about to help the poor guy?

And you’re doing great with this!
