A brave and noble kitteh! May he heal quickly!
I had to put Pandora on the back porch because she wants to sniff his butt and and wound. This entire situation is bringing out my son’s nurturing side, and it’s so cool. However, I have told him that pets can be like toddlers sometimes.
The Egyptian Mau looks suspiciously like an F5 Savannah. Logan is F3, more of the Serval is evident on this face than you will see on an F5:
So beautiful! There are some Bengals that live in my neighbourhood; one owner lets their three out, but they have gps locators on them. The other owner only takes theirs out into the yard on leashes.
Now to get Pandora and Tuxedo spayed!

We “put the tree up.” No ornaments, no tree skirt, just Cirrus’ favorite box under the tree.
So far neither chaos kitten has tried to climb it.
Christmas tree edition!
It probably feels like he’s hiding under a bush or a hedge, and makes him feel safe.
We had a visitor today.
Cirrus was the only cat who explored the possibility of cross species friendship. It went from this…
… to this
The other day you mentioned spraying your tree with deterrent spray. It was an excellent idea! I found some behind the food bucket storage spot and doused the bottom 2-3 feet of the tree with it. Logan immediately stopped chewing on the lights! I’ll probably gave to spray it every couple days, but the lights stand a fighting chance of actually making it to New Year’s day this year.
Staying on-topic, here’s the tailless wonder in her normal holiday spot:
“Feed me and tell me I’m pretty”
She belongs to Kiddo’s music teacher. She loves cats, but they tend to not love her back, even though she’s a tiny thing. She finally found Cirrus, who was as curious about the dog as the dog was about her. Neither wanted the play date to end.
Tailless wonder? Is she a Manx? My boy, Trelane, is a Manx - at least that’s what they told me at Give Purrs a Chance, the cat café where I adopted him. He’s a “rumpy riser,” from what I can gather on the internets.
She is two kinds of cats - Flame-point Siamese and Manx! She definitely has the mutation, can’t jump high, butt tries to get ahead of her if she’s running at less than top speed and she gets the occasional dingleberry. She has a single vertebrae for a “tail” and it makes her look like a weird bunny when it’s up.
Poor baby was tossed out a car window into the gutter at one of the largest intersections in metro Detroit. A good Samaritan on their way to Ann Arbor for work saw it happen, scooped her up and rushed her to the shelter’s clinic. We found her at the shelter about an hour after she was put on the floor for adoption. Her beans were injured and to this day will not step on super soft things, but that is the only lasting damage. Obviously we were meant to find her after her ordeal, so her name is Kizmet.
I guess that works too.
Hmm, now I’m thinking matching shirts for crimbo.
