Nickel & Allspice are two years old today!
They like to get Churu’s in the evening, so I guess today maybe they’ll get two!

I was just reading this book this morning on the subway and I was so focused on the Moomins’ adventures that I didn’t realize I had passed my usual station and only realized it when I was in Downtown.
my guy is way too pampered for such rough living!
Here he is screaming at me that he is done being out side. There is wind! He must be carried the 3 feet to the door, as it is simply impossible to walk in a harness. He will never consent to this barbarism again
One of his many nicknames, bestowed by our child, is “fuzzy pink slipper.” And indeed, it suits his pampered life style. Never did figure out the pink part though
I love the Feline Fangs™!
Well, there’s that nose, which is made of pink. There are all those pink paw pads. There are also the two very different pink rose petals who live in his mouf and under his tail.
I frequently referred to our late lamented 1/2 Abyssinian, The Red Thing, as The Red and White and Pink Thing.
“made of pink” is a new way to put it (well, new for me) and it’s going to get heavy rotation.

“Toe beans”, as my daughter calls them, and damn it’s a delightful term.

Hugs.
When I was a kid, my family tried to walk our cat in a harness once. Only once. Never again. You’d swear we strapped a bag of cement to his back, the way he walked and complained.
I first used the phrase when I told a very manly tomcat that his nose was made of pink. He didn’t object.
Indeed. There is nothing manly about being frightened of a portion of the visible light spectrum.
Cousin Cláudio, who travels a lot.
What a Lucky cat. The people who work at that building provide the cats plenty of food, water and even warm blankets. But It is a tough life anyway.
I’ve occasionally made the attempt to take a cat out for a drag(*). It’s never really been successful. (We never got to the point of trying it outside.)

(*) – Please note: Do not drag your cat along the ground. The phrase is meant as a joke!
I took my 18 year old to the cottage for the first time (he caught at least 2 mice, and hunted in the living room every night after; I don’t know if he caught anything more), and tried him in a harness and lead for the first time; he purred when I put it on, and enjoyed exploring the front porch, and settled down for a nap. I had no idea that he would such a calm traveller and would take to the harness so easily!
This is Archie, a stray that had been hanging out near the hospital at which my wife works. Someone or something had clipped his ears. After a few weeks of coaxing him with food the missus was able to bundle him into a carrier (without fuss) and brought him home
Archie the cat, chilling in bed after being cleaned of ticks and fleas. Treating an ear infection
Oh, poor little guy! Glad you guys brought him home…
