As I type this, he’s still by my shoes, but more in a loaf position, with his head facing north (the direction in which the handle of the Dirt Devil depicted on the carton is pointing, lol).
Bert is feeling much better, and is enjoying my sewing machine. And reminding me that I have a project started, and not finished.
Whose sewing machine?
I’ll retake the territory at some point, no need to be needlessly provocative about it today.
Projects are supposed to be finished?
I… I mean, y’know, you’re not wrong!
Three Shades of Luke.
I call this “taking a shift” where a kitty sits on my desk while I work. Iris doesn’t usually do this but she’s got the late shift today, while I sort through business-appropriate motivational quotes.
She is skeptical that a Winston Churchill quote will be motivational for young, entry level staff, but no one said anything when I added quotes by Tupac, Pharrell Williams, Marcus Garvey, Yoda or Run the Jewels, so I’ll keep it mixed up.
oooooo…such floofz…and cooool blueyez!
She was rescued from an auto shop, just too pretty and floofy to be a mouser.
Look at that widdle nose!
This guy is not my pet, but he was in my car, so close enough.
To keep from freaking anybody out, the little guy is a spider. Open if you wish to see a black hairy spider, which IS kind of cute.
I was driving home from the post office, and he started crawling down the post between the windshield and the driver side window. It kind of startled me, because there isn’t usually motion right there. I might have freaked out a little more if he landed on me, but he did not. I like spiders, they do great work in the world, and don’t want to hurt them, but I also don’t really want to be touched by one, y’know?
I have no idea where he is now, because as I was trying to relocate him to the great outdoors, he either fell or jumped. Mostly, I hope he isn’t in my car, and can have a long and happy life, outside where all the food is.
I like spiders, and this one is cute. I can even see 3 or 4 eyes. How big across was it?
Kind of small, about 1 centimeter, maybe a little more. I wish I could have gotten a better picture, but he kept moving.
Most years we get pretty (and huge) gardens spiders building autumn webs outside the living room window. If we get one this year, I’ll definitely get a photo.
that’s a jumping spider! my favorite kind. i think they actually ARE kind of cute in some hard-to-define way. their little hops are certainly adorable. they are ground hunters.
I love jumping spiders. They are so ridiculously cute.
I wasn’t sure where to post this, but this thread seems appropriate:
