I guess detailed DNA tests would show. Apparently one litter can have more than one father (if the queen gets around . . . )
Yup.
Itâs possible. Their temperaments are really similar, though. Iâve never seen cats tolerate toddlers so well. The texture of the hair is very similar, too, even if the coat color isnât
Or put sunglasses and trilbys on them and theyâll be the Floof Brothers.
They look literally attached to one another.
my head is imploding witâ da squeedorableness.
Gretta had to have her front left leg amputated yesterday due to osteosarcoma. Sheâs chilling in a stylish They Might Be Giants t-shirt until we get her own doggy-sized t-shirt.
Sheâs doing pretty well already, considering. She almost made it out the back door on her own this morning, but the floor in that room was too slippery (weâre going to put down some bathroom mats for traction).
Our other two arenât happy about being kept out of the room, but theyâre calm when they hang out in their favorite spot anyway.
Yankee (the weird little one) decided a couple of days ago that the AC return vent in the floor wants to eat him, and it takes him about an hour of whining to work up the courage to run past it. And he refuses to be picked up to help, either. This is after heâs lived with us for a couple of years and long since been used to the vent. Go figure.
Lady hasnât been much trouble but she normally charges around enthusiastically like a juggernaut and knocks everything and everyone over, so weâre definitely keeping her away from Gretta for a while.
Lady reminds me of Lady Bird from âKing of the Hillâ.
And maybe one of the other dogs told Yankee a scary story about the vent? I dunno.
Glad to see you have a healthy triped named Gretta. I like her spotty ear.
Could there be a mouse or a rattling in the vent that is new?
Could be itâs rattling more than before, though the rest of us havenât noticed. The furnace below was inspected last week and something might have gotten moved a little.
Remember, they have much better hearing than we do, especially for high pitches.
So watch what your synthesizer is doing.
Our cats could definitely hear stuff going on in the walls that we couldnât. Theyâd sit there for hours, literally.
The other dogs havenât really reacted to any difference though. And he still wouldnât cross the vent when I turned off the heater and fan just for him and even threw a piece of cardboard across it.
