The Pets Thread

Actually the cats have motivated me to step up my efforts to get organized, so I don’t hear too many crashes in the middle of the night.

Looking at Nyla in the room light, she has a faint orange-ish tint in her stripes. I don’t know anything about her heritage or genetics.

Monkey see, monkey do:

(I’d really like to reclaim that desk space for my keyboard, which is in a lightweight, very bouncy keyboard drawer unsuitable for serious typing. I’ll need to set aside some other nearby space for the kittos to demand admiration…)

In front of the record cabinet my dad - or maybe even his dad - built way back in the 1950s, taken a few minutes ago.

That’s a wooden crochet hook she enjoys being scritched with, especially on her forehead back to her neck and under her chin.

I’ve always been a little jealous of the way cats can just sit or lay down anywhere.

“Hey, this is a good spot for a nap.” (whump, “zzzzzzz”)

Here she is in the same spot:

A few days ago Felix jumped onto my desk with a perfectly square mat of dusty cobwebs covering his face. I was scratching my head wondering where he’d been, then Nyla walked in with a strand of cobwebs on her side, then Ghost appeared… ditto.

A quick check revealed that the basement door was open just wide enough for a curious cat to slip downstairs. The unfinished basement is usually off-limits to the cats because there are TOO many places for them to crawl into for a nap.

Well, at least they helped clean up a bit down there…

Sluggish? Looks like a typical cat to me. Cute though!

Well, for her…she’s been getting the crazies at unpredictable times of day.

This was already posted to my Tasmanian thread, but for those who don’t read that:

An electric fence failure at the farm down the road provided some surprise morning llamas on my land. :slightly_smiling_face:
