Here it is. The day I’ve been dreading, 2 babies coming home in body bags.

Some people are still clinging to hope that these bodies coming back are not the Bibis children and won’t believe it until there is DNA identification of the remains.

I feel certain that these hostages being returned will end the ceasefire and cause Israel to explode once again in rage.

The people in Israeli circles are begging everyone not to look at the handoff from Hamas. I have only seen a very few details and, like everything from 10/7, it’s hard to know how to handle it. The families don’t want people talking about how cruel Hamas is, but to focus on mourning their dead.

May their memories be for a blessing.

It’s been a very hard day today.

The revelation that Shiri Bibas’s body had not been returned, as promised by Hamas, and that the body was not that of any other hostage either, left the future of the ongoing hostage-ceasefire deal looking more uncertain than ever.

“This is a very serious violation by the Hamas terrorist organization, which is required by the agreement to return four dead hostages,” said the IDF. “We demand that Hamas return Shiri home, along with all of our hostages.”

The coffins were locked, but the provided keys did not unlock the coffins.

Image of the stage where Hamas had the coffins before they were handed over to the IDF.

Bus bombs found and disarmed. They were set to go off tomorrow around the same time as the prisoner swap.

Fuck… this and now the IDF is claiming that the Bibas babies were killed by Hamas “with their bare hands” while Hamas claims it was in an Israeli bombing…

So, I guess we’re getting an ethnic cleansing for sure now… :sob:

I fucking HATE this fucking timeline. I hate it so much. Murderous assholes literally everywhere running shit.

From Guardian’s liveblog of this… Sinn Fein is boycotting the annual St. Patrick’s day event in DC… the Taoiseach is going, tho… :rage:

FTA: "Irish permier Michael Martin has accused Sinn Fein of "engaging in politics "…

Nothing makes me more suspicious than hearing a professional politician accusing someone of engaging in politics.

It’s sickening. Sickening.
There were also several bus bombs set to go off today

Glad they stopped the bus bombings… :rage:

And the exchange went off today, too. 6 hostages freed for more Palestinian detainees.

Welp, apparently not…

The hostages came home (as well as Mrs. Bibas’ body), but the release of 600 detainees has been delayed… :rage:

WTH? Is Sinn Fein not a political party? What are they supposed to engage in, philately?

I just read that they are delaying prisoner releases until the Hamas prisoner ceremonies end.

Can’t say I disagree.

I read that now that they have Shiri’s body that she was “brutally murdered.”

It was bad enough to get the bodies back and know what happened to them, but all the fuckery that Hamas pulled in the exchange was … hard to imagine having any long-lasting peace with an organization that is showing such malice.

I thought this lawsuit was interesting, brought by a former hostage who was held by a reporter with ties to Hamas, saying that the reporter was illegally promoting terror by coordinating with campus groups to get stories onto US campuses. Though the suit was dismissed, I hope that there is media follow-up to this story.

Hard not to show malice towards the genociders of your people, no?
