There’s a lot of overlap between this thread and another one we could call “A sparkling gallery of fucking idiots.”
I sincerely wish he had gotten the help he needed and the same for his friend that convinced her boyfriend to shoot her in her sleep. (I don’t even know where to start with that one.) At the deepest of my suicidal depression, I never felt any urge to harm anyone else.
From the article:
“Make no mistake, this is an intentional act of terrorism,” an FBI spokesman said at a briefing.
Let me guess: the bomber wasn’t white.

Yes, and they’re also trying to reverse a referendum protecting abortion rights that passed overwhelmingly. Democracy? Never heard of it.
I see three possibilities:
- This is something she believes.
This is very, very bad. - This is not something she believes, she just made something up on the spot, but she doesn’t actually care.
This is worse. - She knows it’s not true, and is saying it deliberately in the knowledge that she won’t get any consequences for it, in aid of making it more or less true in practice, because 2+2=5 if the Party says so.
This is much, much, much worse.
I’d guess a combination of 2 and 3. Which may be even worse.
Monsters, all of them.
In May 2015, prominent right-wing intellectual Charles Murray published a book calling on the superrich to fund an American rebellion against their government.
Sorry, dude, Ayn Rand beat you to it.
I hate seeing Charles Murray given the title intellectual. He’s a bigot dressed in supposedly fancy but very transparent arguments, and the sooner he is left to the ashes of history the better.
