Um.... what.... aka, this is the dumbest thing I've ever read

What’s the cutoff between ‘far right’ and ‘beyond far right’? And do we need to discriminate between the two?

I tend to think there’s a meaningful distinction between people like the very confused lady in the video above, and someone who flat out says “yes, I’m a fascist!” and advocates for an autocracy where any parts of the Constitution that don’t benefit him are stricken out (which, yes, is an example from one of the other people in this “debate”).

YMMV :man_shrugging:

“Saying the quiet part out loud” seems like a distinction without a difference.

Holy crap. I’m not even halfway through it but I can’t believe what I’m seeing.

And how calm and focused and polite he is.

“Hey, what can you say?”
“I think you can say ‘I’m a fascist.’”
“Yeah, I am.”
“I don’t debate fascists.”
“Okay. So do you concede then?”
“Do I concede that you’re a fascist who won’t condemn the Nazis? Yes, I concede that.”
“Okay, great. So what are we doing here, because you just seem offended, to be quite frank.”
“I am offended by people who can’t condemn the Nazis. Yes, I am.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, sir.”
“I can’t say the same, but uh, thank you.”

Such chill, such calm, such rational responses.

Meanwhile I’m just sitting here wanting to be able to shout to these people “Do you idiots not realize that we fought an entire war against this? Your grandparents or great-grandparents could tell you about that.”

Props to the people who set it up. They did great job of picking the most rotten apples out of whatever dumpsters they found those people in.

Don’t forget that part of the Nazi ideology (eugenics) is as American as apple pie

The animal’s bites can cause injury, infections, or even significant blood loss with prolonged contact.

The health secretary shared the images on his X account, where users many of his supporters applauded the move.

‘Bro you wild. I like it though, keep it up,’ one X user commented.

Thank you, I had no idea what they were talking about. Who the heck calls those “sea vampires”? That’s a lamprey. Sea vampires brings up planes and monsters when I search for it.

Yup. Early DeHavilland jet, not bad for its time.

Mark Cuban? Why did I read that text before reading who wrote it? Why would I ever read anything he writes? Might as well go all in on drooling fucking idiot billionaire love and read Marc Andreesen.

And i am gonna guess that not a single mind was changed. Facts do not matter to a certain sort of idiot.

I saw a video a few months ago about flat earthers who were offered a free trip to Antarctica to witness something (I forget what exactly) that would prove the earth was round. None of the most influential flat earthers showed up because they didn’t want to harm their grift.

The 24-hour sun running a complete circle through the southern sky, which would be impossible on the typical flat earth map (where Antarctica is the outside rim and the sun ought to be disappearing to the north).

…and a whole laundry-list of other experiments they did while they were there, which the big flat earthers have spent the time since frantically throwing out theories to try to deny the results of.

But, the good news is that there were some minds changed. One of the ones who went, Jeran Campanela, who was also involved in the light beam test mentioned in @Millie_Fink 's image, finally accepted the evidence. So there is hope…
