Fair. I have always been a cat person, and was mostly ambivalent about dogs. Then I became a caregiver of someone with a dog, and the dog decided I was also his human, and while he died several years ago, we now have two dogs and I am very much a dog person. Still a cat person, but the other human, like you, is allergic, so … dogs only in this house.

I’m allergic to all hair, including my own. I can’t live without cats, and desperately miss having dogs, too. I also miss having riding lessons, even when the horses are all shedding.
