Well, fuck

It’s like The Most Dangerous Game, but without the tedium of needing to wait for a shipwreck near your deserted island…

A lot of the low-level poachers are people trying to make do, especially after losing traditional lands. Of course some are big game hunters.

Either could be responsible for the poisoning-- but if the poisoning was for sheer evilness, or for conspicuous getting away with it as a status symbol, that suggests group 2.

Encouraging big game hunters to target poachers would lead to white supremacists becoming big game hunters to target local civilians.

Encouraging them to target the crowned Saxe-Coburg wouldn’t help anyone either.

No, we must bring them to take up the most dangerous game.

Yes, that’s a factor I hadn’t considered.

Sri Lanka has recruited two hangmen as it prepares to carry out four executions - the first in 43 years.

It follows the president’s announcement that four prisoners convicted of drug offences are to face the death penalty.

The hanging will end a moratorium on capital punishment that has been in place since 1976.

Over 100 candidates responded to an advert posted in February for executioners with “strong moral character”. They needed to be Sri Lankan, male, aged 18-45 and possess “mental strength”.

State-owned media Daily News said two Americans and two women had also applied.

I hope that this means I’ll actually get to see more of her, since I don’t watch SNL (because I’m asleep when it airs).

I follow her Instagram, and she’s pretty active about posting what she’s up to.

ETA: She’s super into Mary J. Blige and the NY Yankees.

There’s being professional and calm - something you no doubt need to be as a 911 operator. But this is on a whole other level.

And yet again, when you think women are making positive differences in the world, the truth is otherwise. I am really disappointed by this:

What they did with the anti-Victoria’s Secret ad is what’s called in marketing polarizing your audience.

Their market research showed that their ideal customer dislikes Victoria’s Secret. Their so-called “bold stance” for calling out the big giant Victoria’s Secret was just a safe stunt to appeal to their ideal customer, who does not shop there anyway. People who do shop there aren’t going to buy Third Love products, so it’s a good idea to repel people who like VS. It weeds out the people who wouldn’t buy their stuff anyway.

Time to seriously consider cutting TiVo when my subscription term runs out. I’ve been using TiVo devices since the Series 1 and frankly, this is bullshit.

I don’t use a TiVo or pay an annual fee just to watch ads on the platform - even if they are skippable.
