That’s a good one.
We’ve just finished the first season of The Terror. It was better to watch it with subtitles because the use of language was hard to grok along with the accents. A lot of good mauling though.

Killing Eve has the most lopsided hero/villain interactions ever
“I have sighted the dangerous assassins and now I will chase them, even though I have no weapons and no training! What could possibly go wrong?”
It’s such a weird kind of satire of the spy genre. I’m just going with it right now.
I’m a sucker for Euro spy stuff I guess
Lady Macbeth. It’s leaving Prime on Mayday.

Can we hope for a sitcom modeled after Father Ted?
There’s always hope.
Happened across this:
It’s a very over-the-top weird 80s movie, sort of like the perfect 60s sitcom family but set in a surreal background like Brazil, with wacky music and random unexplained weirdness.
I was told that Amazon’s bond films were leaving prime in May. So I watched Octopussy
My collection:
Yeah, yeah, there’s the Brosnan stuff. Should pick up Goldeneye, at least.
Finished watching the end of “Dispatches from Elsewhere.” Boy, this show was a rollercoaster of things. It gets meta, it breaks 4th and 5th walls, reality fragments. The characters are compelling. Yet, stepping back from it all, it feels half-baked.
Spectre is also missing, as well as the parody casino royale.
I have the feeling that second and maybe even third watchings will help unfurl the layers. And I say that as someone who never does that!
If we tell the Rick and Morty people to do an R-rated reboot of Invader Zim then this is what we get
Boy, I’m behind the times. Just started binging this yesterday. Nice how it’s sitcom-y, but still deals with pretty smart questions.
It wraps up pretty nicely, too.
We’re watching the Good Place too now, and enjoying it a lot!
Unfortunately, Netflix only has three seasons of it, and NBC only has the last 5 episodes of the fourth season available without subscribing to their own walled garden of streaming (because what better way to entice someone in than to make it so only the ending of the story is free, I guess?). So I guess it’s going to be a bit before I get to see that wrap-up.
I thought about going that route with it, and missing the fourth season wasn’t great, but how many times can they work the Jacob’s ladder thing until they ended up in charge? I didn’t mind skipping to the end, but I intend a full rewatch when it becomes possible.
