This one’s been stuck in my head for a couple of days now, trouble was I couldn’t remember the name of the song or where I’d heard it.
Turns out I had watched “sing” when visitng family this weekend.
Here it is November 25, and I have already heard this in a store:
It’s always interesting to note the date it first appears.
I’ve been singing it all day.
I started out able to hit the high bits, but very poorly.
Then I improved somewhat (though Freddie Mercury I am still not).
Now I am unable to hit the high bits at all.
But I need to get that (both singing those words and belting at the top of my range) out of my system.
I hate that song… I didn’t even play the video and it’s stuck in my head now!
You are worse than twenty Hitlers for posting this.
Me and an American military buddy would always do Bohemian Rhapsody at karaoke together. We’d end the performance by crying on each other’s shoulders. Saddened by the tragedy Freddy Mercury faced after killing a man. It was a bit difficult with him standing a full foot over me.
Let me say, I hate “Wonderful Christmas” as much as any normal person.
But while looking up the video for it,I was stuck with a morbid thought: Soon Sir Paul will be gone and I will hate myself for giving the cold shoulder to his horribly unvarnished depiction of friendship and love at this time of year.
I’m sorry, but I just suddenly got all deep about it.
Yeah, but he has written much better songs over his career…
Mostly the guitar.
And many, many worse.
Probably true. I only know a couple of his songs from Wings… But it would be pretty hard… it’s a terrible song.
this popped up on the rental car radio over the holiday. i haven’t heard this song in over 30 years, and i had forgotten how damn catchy his hits were. it’s been stuck in my head ever since.
Love Is All Right Tonight
Of course this immediately made me think of this
Those acoustic blues really stick, don’t they?
Maybe not the worst to have stuck in my head for a week straight:
I had the misfortune of watching Sweeney Todd.
Last time I watched that, I had something else stuck in my head for hours…
(Gore warning for those unfamiliar with Sweeney Todd)
Had this running through my head all of last night, a super-powered earworm, and by all rights it shouldn’t be - too complex, too strange - but Bush is sui generis…
