Nice patinas.
“IbitIcns…”.
The eyes and text are from a t-shirt I bought secondhand; when it became too worn to wear, I cut out the design and glued it to some posterboard. So the colors I put on that were done…oh, in the summer, prolly.
“Tears of Love”.
From a tank top that I’d ironed the design onto; like the previous, I cut it out but glued it to corrugated cardboard and painted it, then cut that out. After gluing it to the painted canvas, I did some embellishing, and this is the result.
I have paints, I have things on which to apply said paint and brushes to do that, sooo…
it’s really almost a compulsion. I fancy myself in my head as another Vincent van Gogh, but as to whether I’ll ever really be recognized in my lifetime or even after I’m dead as an artist of note…well…I fear that’s a fancy, as well.
“Goin’ Psyche-Dotty”.
This is cool. I like it!
I’m happy about that, thanks!
I put a layer of glow-in-the-dark paints over each dot; I wish I could get a good pic of that. I might try later. I incorporate gitd paint in about half of my work, it seems.
A sign for a watch repair shop, for 3D printing. I downloaded a file, already created, of the watch in Dali’s Persistance of Memory that sits on the table, oozing off the side. I modified to look it like the watch in the background hanging off the tree branch.
The embossed numbers and hands are separate, for easier painting.
No title at the present time. Please - no suggestions using the following words: Hindenburg, lead, led, zeppelin. Thanks!
I painted the background color first, using a roller sponge. Then I kinda stared at it from different angles, eventually seeing what to me looked like the outline of an airship…and I went from there.
How about My Dream Home. I love airships.
I know, the one in “Up” was great, except for the evil associated with it, lol.
I just named it “Airship”.
EDIT: I’ve decided to change the title to “Dirigible”. Because I can, lol.
I finally 3D printed & painted my diner sign:
Unfortunately the sign is too big for the diner kit I got on ebay, so I’m redoing it smaller, and this time trying to use Shapeway.com’s color printer.
This is the kit I got on eBay the sign will go with:
Weird coincidence on the names!
“Celebrating? Have a Donner Party”
first come, first served
I’m attempting Jamuary this year (posting a little synth jam every day of the month). I managed to get in the first day despite driving from Shreveport-ish to St. Louish-ish and being exhausted…

Another upcycled box, this one having held a canister of chocolate-chip mini-cookies from Victor’s Roofing.
More of the same.
